Kinds of sentences (Classification by meaning)

　There are four types, Declarative, interrogative, Exclamatory and Imperative.
　平叙文、疑問文、感動文、命令文の四種類がある。

　- Declarative　平叙文

　　The declarative sentence merely makes a statement.
　　There is a positive sentence and a negative sentence.
　　物事をありまま、断定して述べる文。肯定文と否定文がある。

　　明日は　晴れます。[肯定文 Positive Sentence]
　　あすは　はれます。
　　asuwa haremasu.
　　It will be sunny tomorrow.

　　明日は　晴れません。[否定文 Negative Sentence]
　　あすは　はれません。
　　asuwa haremasen.
　　It will not be sunny tomorrow.

　- Interrogative　疑問文

　　The interrogative sentence expresses a command, order or request.
　　疑問の意味を述べる文。

　　明日は　晴れますか？
　　あすは　はれますか？
　　asuwa haremasuka?
　　Will it be sunny tomorrow?

　　今　何時ですか？
　　いま　なんじですか？
　　ima nanjidesuka?
　　What time is it now?

　- Exclamatory　感動文

　　The exclamatory sentence expresses a sudden emotion.
　　感動や感情の意味を述べる文。

　　なんて　寒いんだ。
　　なんて　さむいんだ。
　　nante samuinda.
　　How cold it is!

　- Imperative　命令文

　　The imperative sentence asks a question.
　　命令の意味を述べる文。

　　すぐに　学校に　行きなさい。
　　すぐに　がっこうに　いきなさい。
　　suguni gakkouni ikinasai.
　　Go to school right now.

　　学校に　遅れては　いけません。
　　がっこうに　おくれては　いけません。
　　gakkouni okuretewa ikemasen.
　　Don't be late for school
