I. 比較

原級

　　形容詞、副詞の前後に"as"を置く。

　　as big as
　　This box is as big as that.
　　「この箱はあれと同じくらい大きい。」

　　as small as
　　A rat is as small as a mole.
　　「ネズミはモグラと同じくらい小さい。」

　　as beautiful as
　　This picture is as beautiful as that picture.
　　「この絵はあの絵と同じくらい美しい。」

　　as well as
　　She can speak English as well as French.
　　「彼女はフランス語と同様に英語も話すことができる。」

　　as many as
　　He watched the TV as many as 10 hours.
　　「彼は１０時間もテレビを見た。」

　　as much as
　　You can eat as much as you like.
　　「あなたは好きなだけ食べることができる。」

　　as slowly as
　　The bus ran as slowly as a baby carriage.
　　「そのバスは乳母車と同じくらいゆっくり走った。」

　　as efficiently as
　　The solar power can not produce electricity as efficiently as the nuclear power.
　　「太陽光発電は原子力発電と同じくらい効率よく電気を生み出すことはできない。」
